A classic Ukrainian chicken roll filled with aromatic garlic herb butter, coated in a crispy golden crust. Juicy, flavorful, and perfect for a special dinner.
Prepare the butter filling. Mix cold butter with garlic, dill, salt, and pepper. Shape into small logs and freeze.
Prepare the chicken. Butterfly each chicken breast and pound it thin with a meat mallet.
Season the meat. Add salt and pepper on both sides.
Wrap the butter. Place the frozen butter log inside the chicken. Roll tightly, folding in the edges to seal.
Bread the rolls. Dip in flour → whisked eggs → breadcrumbs. Repeat twice for a thick crust.
Fry until golden. Fry the Chicken Kyiv in hot oil for 2–3 minutes until golden.
Finish in the oven. Bake at 180°C for 15–18 minutes.
Serve hot. Cut slowly to release the butter inside.
