Peel and boil potatoes. Boil the potatoes in salted water until tender, then drain.
Mash the potatoes. Mash with butter until smooth.
Prepare the mushrooms. Slice mushrooms and chop the onion.
Sauté mushrooms and onions. Cook in a frying pan with oil until golden and fragrant.
Mix cream and eggs. Whisk cream, eggs, salt, and pepper.
Layer the casserole. Spread half the mashed potatoes into a baking dish → add mushrooms → cover with remaining potatoes.
Pour the cream mixture. Evenly pour the cream-egg mixture over the casserole.
